10m x 3cm, -9°C   Slender Weavers' Bamboo - A slightly smaller variety of B. textilis that makes an elegant addition to a garden. Very popular for hedges and screenings.  The thin walled culms are good as stakes and light poles for tools.  The photos below illustrate 2 extremes of how a bamboo clump can grow.  The first photo is of a 4 year old planting of Gracilis in Brisbane China Town.  It is heavy pruned to keep it small.  The second photo is a 15 year old clump on Earthcare Farm at Crystal Waters.  It is growing in rich alluvial soil on the creek flat.

We have wholesale quantities of this variety available, please contact us for prices and availability.
